1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ReefPilot, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

ReefPilot is an AI-powered reef tank management application that helps you track water parameters, manage maintenance schedules, monitor costs, and receive personalized advice for your saltwater aquarium.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use this service.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. AI Advice Disclaimer

Important: ReefPilot's AI assistant provides general guidance based on common reef-keeping practices. This advice is for informational purposes only and should not be considered a substitute for professional consultation. Specifically:

• AI recommendations may not account for all variables in your specific setup.
• Always verify dosing calculations independently before adding chemicals to your tank.
• We are not responsible for livestock loss, equipment damage, or other consequences resulting from following AI suggestions.
• When in doubt, consult an experienced reef keeper or marine biologist.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
• Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit the AI system.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Use automated tools to scrape or access the service.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the data you enter into ReefPilot (tank data, photos, chat messages). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process this data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect access. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the app's Settings. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. All associated data will be removed from our systems.

9. Limitation of Liability

ReefPilot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of livestock, equipment damage, or financial loss.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the app.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
